JTec ("we", "us", "our") operates the DataGPT for Google Sheets™ Google Workspace add-on ("Service"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard personal data when you install or use the Service.
Data we collect
- User-provided information: Email address and profile details shared by Google when you authorize the add-on.
- Spreadsheet content: Text, cell ranges, and schemas you submit through GPT formulas for processing.
- Operational metadata: Request timestamps, execution logs, and anonymized diagnostics used to maintain reliability.
- API keys: Optional OpenAI API keys you supply; the key is stored in Google Apps Script properties scoped to your account.
How we use data
- Generate AI-assisted responses for your spreadsheet requests.
- Enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors.
- Improve prompts and defaults by analyzing aggregated, anonymized diagnostics.
Data sharing
OpenAI: We transmit only the prompt text, schema, and configuration needed to fulfill your requests to OpenAI's API. Their use of data is governed by OpenAI's policies.
Google services: We rely on Google Apps Script, PropertiesService, and Workspace APIs to store keys, document defaults, and execute formulas.
We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
Storage & retention
- OpenAI API keys and per-document defaults reside in Google Apps Script properties associated with your account or document.
- Execution logs and diagnostics are retained for up to 30 days, after which they are purged or anonymized.
- We do not persist spreadsheet cell content outside Google's infrastructure.
Security
- Keys and settings are stored using Google's encrypted property stores. We never hard-code or export your keys.
- Access to deployment projects is limited to authorized team members with least privilege.
Your choices & rights
- Revoke the add-on via Google Workspace to stop data collection.
- Delete your API key or document defaults through the in-add-on settings sidebar.
- Request access, corrections, or deletion by emailing support@jctec.me. We respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and knowingly collected data from minors will be deleted upon discovery.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. Updates are posted to this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be announced through the add-on or via email when possible.
